eDriveLAB’s mission is to innovate the automotive field (personal, collective, commercial) through a stable and
continuous process of technology transfer from our academic know-how in power electronics into electric and hybrid vehicles.
Our initial goal is to establish research activities either with private companies and public partners
(national, European and worldwide), bringing to market the innovations developed throughout the years.
The main long-term goal of this project is to develop an electric vehicle platform equipped with state-of-the-art technologies,
to improve the overall system level efficiency and increase range and performance with respect to the competition.
History and Aim
We are a spin-off company from the University of Parma, born in the wake of a two-decade-long experience in the field of
power electronics at the Industrial Automation Laboratory (MEltIngLab). We all come from a research background and we aim at developing a strong, vertical knowledge center for vehicle
electrification, bridging the gap between research and development. The eDriveLAB team is capable of effectively fulfilling
demand from the emerging market of electric vehicles, in particular the ever-increasing demand from car manufacturers
for training expert people and for collaborating with specialized companies capable of dealing with the new technological challenges.
